Hex mosins

Here is the four hex reciever mosins i've picked up in the past month. From left to right: 1928 Izhvesk, 1930 izhvesk, 1933 Tula, 1934 Izhvesk
Something weird about the 1928 and 34 izhvesk rifles is underneath the magazine assembly the wood is reinforced with galvanized metal from a barn roof? Oh and the lettering on the '34 is orange but it has no triangle 25 marking like most with orange markings. Another odd thing is it has no russian crest.

very nice! i really like the guns with the brass bands. the little pieces of metal were a common practice in an effort to accurize the action. they would sometimes use bits of stripper clips used also. probably done in the field by a bored soldier.
