I can't decide which folder to get. I have narrowed my choice down to two.

The Spyderco Manix 2...

...or the Benchmade Griptilian in OD green...

Both knives are about the same size...

Spyderco Manix 2
Overall Length:
8.03"
Blade Length: 3.37"
Closed Length: 4.66"
Blade Thickness: 0.125"
Weight: 4.9oz.
Clip Position: Ambi/Tip-Up
Lock Type: Ball Bearing
Steel: CPM S30V

Benchmade Griptilian
Overall Length
: 8.07"
Blade Length: 3.45"
Closed Length: 4.62"
Blade Thickness: 0.115"
Weight: 4.62oz.
Pocket Clip: Tip Up, Reversible
Lock Mechanism: AXIS® locking mechanism
Blade Material: 154CM Stainless Steel

The Spyderco wears G10 scales while the Benchmade has a polymer handle done in, my favorite, OD green.

This is a tough decision. What do the masses say?

:thanku:

Both great knives. The Spyderco has better slicing ability due to the full flat grind, but is heavy, really big in the pocket and the lock is a little sticky. It's a really tough knife and built like a tank. It also has the extra finger choil to let you choke up for precise tasks, but due to that, the cutting edge is shorter.

The Bemchmade is a great EDC blade and has more of a utility type of blade profile which wont be as good at slicing, but will still take on the toughest of chores. Smooth proven lock and takes up less room in the pocket with less weight.

My EDC is the griptilian. I have the 1/2 serrated version IOT cut through seat belts and such, bought it in Iraq in 2005 and it is still going strong. Highly recommended.

For the same money I prefer the mini griptillian.I have been pretty rough on 2 of them and the axis lock really holds up well.Still no play in the blade when it locks up.
