Hog Hunting in TX

I know I have read of some members here hunting hogs in TX. Anyone have any pointers for what I would need to be TX legal to hunt hogs on private land?

I know this is an OK hunting area but we don't have one for out of state hunting so...yeah. I have an opportunity to hunt a friend of a friend's land to take out some problematic hogs for them.

Saw something about their online hunter safety course. Is this a must for hunting private land there or if I have taken the OK one does that count?

What would be required for an out of state hunter to take hogs in TX on private land without getting into trouble?

I am thinking the permit below should suffice but to make sure I am not missing anything, help me out.

Why not just call Texas Parks and Wildlife and ask them?

Yes you will need the 5 day NR Hunting license. Also, you need to carry your hunter's education card (Oklahoma is valid in all 50 states and throughout Canada & Mexico). If you need to, you can print your hunter's education card here:

Because I am probably not the only guy on this site who will ever hunt hogs in TX and want to know what is needed to do so legally. Now any info gathered is here for all to reference.

I would be interested in a group trip. Luckily I don't have hogs on my farm, YET! But I would sure like to kill em.
