House explosion in IND- now a homocide investigation

read the last sentence in the story- The owner and her boyfriend were at a casino for the weekend, the daugther was at a friend's house and they put their cat in a boarding house. the house that exploded was behind on the payments, the furnace recently "went out" and was repaired by the owner's boyfriend.

A dog you might, stress might board for a weekend trip, but a cat? Nobody boards a cat for 2 days. I have NEVER heard of a person who boards a cat for 2 days, hell boarding a cat in general is a huge waste of money, cats don't need people. Dogs require a little more effort, but cats crap in the house with a little box. If you don't have cats let me explain- you take a kitten or full grown cat, put it in a litter box for about 10 seconds. After that, they almost always return to do their business there, unless you don't clean it. That easy. Dogs poo and pee everywhere.

I give 100-1 that the lady and here boyfriend blew up the house in a 'surance scam.

Probably a scam. I've gone on trips before and had someone come feed my dogs but the cats just stayed in 1 room for 3 days and they were fine (auto-feeder, clean litter box, etc. beforehand).

I smelled a rat from the beginning on this. Resident out of town - daughter staying with friends, the furnace on the fritz a week before and behind on the payments in the middle of a divorce. And when it first happened the only person saying anything was the ex-husband.... I'm sure they thought it was a foolproof plan. They just weren't planning on taking out the whole neighborhood and killing the folks next door.
