Hey SMS, Brother I'm with ya on Dove being thick in Houston area. One time I was in downtown Houston, looked over toward a gravel parking lot and counted at least 40 dove. I had a lot of coworkers when I lived in Galveston go dove hunting....I never went. I don't care for dove meat. What I can remember: I use to listen to a radio station that was located in Beaumont...KLVI 560am. You can get it on your radio in Houston. There was an outdoor guy, more on fishing but I'd call him and ask about dove hunts and guides. Chester Moore:http://www.klvi.com/pages/chestermoore.html Looks like the number is...(409) 920-2062. I'd also call Smitty's in Galveston. Yes, Smitty's is a bait shop/fishing guide/boat dock, but he should know. I can't remember his name...he bought it from his uncle(Smitty) but he knows the area, people, and should know about hunting guides.....UNLESS it changed owners....I'd still call. Smitty's Bait House (409) 744-7705 7805 Broadway St, Galveston, TX 77554 http://www.thebackyarddawgs.com/smittys.html Just my 2cents, hope it helps.
