So, received the AT-94, and promptly sent it off to Parabellum Combat Systems to get a tech inspection, have the magazine well modified to fit standard 30-round MP5 mags, and get refinished. The initial report was pretty good -- Jeff/Ghilliebear called and recommended I replace the stock MKE locking piece with a HK-built one (apparently the Turk piece is built for lower power 9mm ammo, and the HK piece is more robust), and also gave me the stink-eye for buying a PTR-91 lower to replace the MKE lower. He highly recommended I pick up a real German HK MP5 lower, and pick up a US made forearm to maintain 922r compliance. Guess the PTR lower will be going on sale in the Classifieds here soon, heheh. Other than that, he is going to mill out the cocking tube, as there was some burn-through in a couple of the welds that was causing some roughness and scraping on the cocking support piece. Finally, it is going to get refinished in GunKote 2400. He invited me out to go pick it up, and bring the new parts so I can install them myself. That's about a 3 hour drive, but it should be fun. I'll post pics of it when I get it back.
