no, the idiot is anyone who claims otherwise. The gun and ammo makers LOVE you ignoramuses. :-) Cause their hype gets you to waste lots of money, which they get.

when you can get within 10% of this good, try it from the weak shoulder. Shooting right handed around the left side of cover, with longarms, means you have to expose your entire body to enemy fire. walking along a river, or down a corridor with doors on just one side make it advisable to have the rifle pointed in the appropriate direction, which can easily be the "wrong" way for your strong side.

you wont have ear protection for a fight, most likely, TRY replicating your performance (with ears on) vs without . Not at all hard to do with a suppressed AR. We all know you aint any good with $1 a shot 12 ga slugs. If you were going to waste $5000 a year on that, why not be twice as good, with the suppressed AR, via the 10c per shot .22 conversion unit? Then you'd not be helpless beyond 100 yds, vs cover users. Then you' be able to shoot thru soft armor and quietly forage. None of which you can do with the shotgun.
