I've met dozens from here also, hunted with many, bought and sold items to many and have never had an issue or concern with any. I'm in one particular group text with four other guys scattered across the state that's been going on for 12-15y now iirc. I tend to stay away from the Tulsa folks in general though......

This is a great thread guys and gals. I think many come here because even if they haven’t met a particular person, they feel they know them. I’ve met dozens if not a hundred or so. Many of us text back and forth about many subjects beyond the forum.

My wife thinks it’s strange that the only people I text and talk to are a few guys I met on OSA.

Your wife?!?!? I have trouble explaining my "affinity" for a gun forum full of old guys sometimes. And you should have seen Grumpy when the Secret Santa packages started showing up this year. I'll admit that I used to be total @#$%faced drunk back in the day. To the point where I almost ruined my relationship with my son. We have since mended those fences and I am so grateful for that. It wasn't a quick fix; it took several years to come to terms. Mended fences help a lost soul.

Just about everything dumb or embarrassing I've done in my life involved alcohol. I look back on it and wonder how I expected it to be any different. Now when I hear people complain about someone at a bar or a party, I think, well you go to a place where people are intentionally getting wrecked, don't expect them to be at their best.

Yep. There's a really, really short list of things I'd not do if I could start over. Drinking is the top spot, and second place is a long way from that one.

I wasn't a very good person 20 years ago. This place actually brought me therapy and healing and helped me get back to myself but better.

I can envision a commercial for this

A couple walks in the woods with sensible outdoor attire, their chocolate lab by their side , and cradling some over/under shotguns when the man turns to the camera and says

"You know , Sheila here used to think i was a taco or two short of a combination platter, until i discovered OSA.
- Now i'm much better -- I'm more ME ............ with OSA"

then in small letters -
side effects include full gun safes, poverty, gunshot residue on hands at all times, increased levels of sarcasm, amongst other things
