I wouldn't buy anything from Colt's old commercial line. They outsourced it, so it's not really Colt. I also wouldn't buy anything Colt that's more than about ten years old, as they've made some pretty big improvements since that time, namely in regard to bolts and extractors on shorter barrels. I would be looking for an LE6920. Even at current prices, Colt might be a decent buy. They were just acquired by CZ, and it's no telling what's going to happen. But anytime an independent manufacturer gets bought out by a major holding company, the pre acquisition guns tend to go up in value, because almost 100% of the time quality suffers horribly post acquisition. Now CZ is a standup outfit, but that doesn't mean the old ones won't go up in value even if quality doesn't go down, just because of the perceptions that are so ingrained when it comes to these kinds of acquisitions. Not only that, but CZ didn't buy Colt to keep doing what it's doing. Most likely they bought it to leverage the roll mark on some shiny new free floated monstrosity that the commercial market always flocks to like flies to dog poo.
