I never really got into the BP scene but have felt a hankering to lately.
So I come to the brain trust of experience for suggestions.

What I would like is a modern type of rifle that used the shotgun primers and pellet type powder. Hope this makes sense. What suggestions would guys have. Definitely trying to avoid the real high end (expensive) setup.
Thanks in advance.

I bought a T/C Omega several years back and I was very pleased with its accuracy. I even had a breech plug converted to accept primed 25 ACP cases instead of the shotgun primers.

A good budget gun is the CVA Optima. No tools needed to remove the breech plug for cleaning or unloading. Simple break over action. Mine will clover leaf at 100 with 2 fifty grain pellets and Hornady 240 grain hollow points in a sabot
I'll second that. I got one a couple years ago off GB in the off season for like a hundred bucks and it's great.
I use the same load.
