Saturday January 28th is your upcoming 4th Saturday IDPA match at OCR&GC. Set-up commences at 0730, sign-in at 0900 and walk-thru at 1000. Match fee is $12 ($10 for OCR&GC members). Expect something a bit over 100 rounds, if you figure to not miss occasionally.

For those needing one, a Classifier will follow Saturday’s match, assuming the predicted good weather holds out. There will be additional Classifiers offered in coming weeks. The Classifier requires 90 rounds. Every IDPA member must shoot a Classifier every 12 months to retain a current Classification in each Division in which they hold a classification. Cost to shoot Classifier is $5; n/c to OCR&GC members. Classifications will be computer Beach Bunny calculated and issued on the spot.

We’re now going to have TWO matches monthly at Oil Capital. The new one will be on the 2nd Sunday and the other remains on our long-time standard 4th Saturday. At the present time, the time schedule for the 2nd Sunday match will be the same as our current long-running 4th Saturday match.

Between USSA IDPA shooting its usual 2nd Saturday and the two OCR&GC dates you’ll currently have THREE opportunities to shoot IDPA in Metro Tulsa.

The 2012 IDPA Safety Officer certification class is set for Saturday, February 18th at Oil Capital IS FULL. Cost to new SO’s will be $10. Existing SO’s may audit it at no cost. I do need to hear, by no later than February 8, if you previously indicated that you’d attend, but now cannot. That will open up a slot for the class. Please PM me.

Keep Safe!

Thanks to all for coming. Results are out BCC email to the competitors. January presented us with a wonderful day to be outside. We took full advantage of it. The day’s stages, while all scenario, did produce a moderate challenge, still everyone had a good match. The day’s scores were not particularly low, probably due to degree of difficulty of a couple of the stages. The distance stage (out to 35 yards) reminded several of the need to check zero and practice 15 to 35 yard shooting a bit. That stage 6 low score belongs to Jason H. with 40.36; high score was well over 2X that number.

Your February Oil Capital matches will be on Sunday the 12th and Saturday the 25th. The IDPA Safety Officer Class is Saturday the 18th.

The Badlands Regional IDPA & Oklahoma State 2012 is confirmed for April 28-29th. An application will be out soon.
