Thanks everyone for coming! Results are out via BCC email to the shooters. Send me a PM if your results do not arrive. Check your spam filters! The weatherman predicted rain for Saturday several days out; he was correct and we’re thankful for some precipitation in our current parched state of affairs. The weather models showed the line of rain gone by maybe 10:30. That part of the forecast was off by around an hour. Most of the shooters stuck around and visited under the various shelters. Once the rain stopped, we quickly stapled up targets and were shooting within around 5 minutes of the last falling raindrop. We finished up a full six stage match by around 2 PM. We did shoot the Classifier afterwards. I did repeatedly review the weather conditions with the shooters. Several of us were glued to our IPhones and various weather apps, some of which are better than others. A few shooters decided to go home. That’s okay. If you did not receive a match fee return, then you have a pre-paid match in your future. Remind us at sign-in. Eric F. broke the 100 second barrier with a 96.71. A good accomplishment based of the degree of difficulty for the day’s stages. The competitors did well by missing the non-threats all but 8 times. Mr. Failure to Neutralize (aka FTN) was called out 21 times; you can tell the stages were not too easy, but not too hard either. Your next Oil Capital IDPA match will be Sunday September 9th. Keep Safe!
