[QUOTE="T. MIKE SMITH, post: 4311401, member: 44552"] Like it's been said- houses are like an x wife- they can bleed you out- but renting is no fun either- stuff breaks there and it takes forever for the owners el cheapo heat and air guy to show up who patches it to go a little longer. If you rent @ $1000 per month for 10 years- that's $150,000. and you still own nothing. When you own your home- there are going to be things to fix- if you don't know how- learn how. I bought a Ryobi small battery snake to work on sink drains- it was $65 and I've used it a half dozen times. I had a major line clog twice- went to Home Depot and rented a big snake- one time after a Thanksgiving dinner- I got a stuffed animal out I guess one of the kids flushed- next time it was after putting down a tile floor, I pulled out a towel that was put in the toilet pipe to keep stuff out when doing the floor, and I guess it slipped down the pipe without being noticed.
