We are western wagoner county. Our neighborhood has been hit several times. Probably the same crew. 3-4 “teenager aged males”. One stays driving while the others jump out, smash windows and get what they can. Our next door neighbor had their passenger side window on one car broken out and the driver’s side on the vehicle next to it. The thieves got nothing. Luckily for us their car alarms alerted our neighbor across the street who came out and chased them off. 5:30am on a Saturday. Everyone entering and leaving now gets their license plate scanned. Supposedly, only the HOA has access and the footage is automatically deleted after so many hours if not manually saved for crime purposes. I’m not super cool with it, but it seems to have stopped the break-ins for now. All it would take is removing a license plate, stealing one or creating a fake tag for the trail to go cold. In speaking with a deputy, there are times when the whole county only has three deputies on shift. For a county the size and scope of Wagoner, that sounds awfully lite on personnel.
