Message: <blockquote data-quote="mapcon1941" data-source="post: 1875006" data-attributes="member: 18257"><p>I lived in Florida during Castro's Mariel boatlift.  Heard a lot of the same comments then that I hear now, better life...blah, blah, blah.   The reality is the Miami area never recovered from the change.  It became the murder capitol of the world and the Orange Bowl area and the high-dollar U. of Miami now sit in a battle zone, like Beruit.  The "Miami" Dolphins now play 45 mins. north of Miami because of the high crime.  I agree that LEGAL immigrants should have every opportunity they earn, and many do.  But I still think blanket amnesty is nothing more than extra potential votes for the Dems. and cheap labor replacements for the CEOs.  IMHO.</p></blockquote><p></p>
