I took a lady friend out there yesterday. Neither of us had been there before, and it was dirty, as stated above. But we met a few nice folks, if you don't count a couple of idiots on one of the two ranges who were busy burning up their AR-15 barrels by shooting as fast as they could switch magazines. Needless to say, we chose the range they weren't using. Some young guys were very respectful, and a man and his wife, both looked to be in their mid-30's, were teaching their two little girls how to shoot and were doing a very good and safe job of it. My lady friend is pretty inexperienced with firearms; we went to American Armory and Tactical's indoor range a week ago and she got her first taste of shooting a 9mm semi-auto. Yesterday she shot the 9mm, a scoped 10-22 that she fell in love with, and the AR-15, which shocked her with its ease of use and the fact that it didn't jump up of its own accord and begin killing innocent bystanders. She's now hooked on shooting. I do love getting people addicted to this sport and way of life.
