Not so much to the environment as to stock and wildlife. I know of one guy that has lost cattle, another a goat and a lady lost her horse. They get curious and try to eat it. Some (like the horse and goat) it gets caught in their throat. The cattle I do not know how it kills, just that it can.Personally I think people need to start a new trend and tie the balloon to a reel of fishing line. Let it carry the message to the loved one in heaven then reel it in and dispose of it. Not trying to start an argument, just telling what I have heard. I know the lady who lost the horse had raised it from a filly and done competitions with it. She was very broken up over it.</blockquote>
