Yeah, yeah...I know. But does anyone seriously believe the government will actually go down a 'list' and then go door-to-door with a confiscation scheme? :D There is no need to risk something so glaringly haphazard when they do just fine a li'l at a time. Which skirts on another 'slippery slope' issue..... First of all I don't like Obama's EO allowing the CDC more access/control concerning firearms issues. IMO that is well outside of the scope of their purpose. Secondly, with all the talk about increased restrictions and denials where medical and/or mental health is concerned I think we can all easily see where it can be dreadfully abused. You know: -if you've ever taken Zoloft for depression -became suicidal after taking Chantix -were prescribed xanax for anxiety -undertaken pain management Things like that shouldn't, in and of themselves, preclude firearm ownership and that's easily an area high in potential abuse.....not to mention the fact that it would seem (to me at least) to be a logistic nightmare if not an impossibility to weed thru' the good and bad. Looking at the grand scheme of things it wouldn't seem that these 'lone nut going on a shooting spree' incidents really add up to much at all as far as the percentage of violence goes. :anyone:
