Was being treated for various ills by the local quack in a box and finally asked them to do blood work. It came back with an extremely high white count. After going for gall bladder tests which the tech stopped in mid point because nothing was going in, they sent me back to get surgery scheduled. My local doc in a box dropped the ball big time. After a week of waiting for info, I called to find out what the treatment was going to be and was told there was nothing wrong with me. Wife kicked me in the butt and got me to another doc, who got test results from the hospital and scheduled me for surgery. had to wait a week for the aspirin I take to get out of my system. When the surgeon got in, he found a necrotic gall bladder which had caused an abcess in the colon. He removed 6 inches of colon and after a week sent me home. two more weeks and I was running a high fever. Wife took me back to emergency room and I was re-admitted. After trying antibiotics in an IV 4 times a day for two weeks, the surgeon went back in and removed another two inches of colon. That part went well, but I contracted an infection in the muscle tissue in the abdomen. I spent the next two months packing the wound until it all healed. I can tell you that if it wasn't for prayer and God, and a good surgeon, I wouldn't be here today. My surgeon said he had never seen anyone in as bad shape stand before him and talk.
