Message: <blockquote data-quote="WhiteyMacD" data-source="post: 1873241" data-attributes="member: 7633">Thats where a 2nd cold war may be the answer.  Cold Wars are always by proxy, the main powers staying out of each other's direct path because of mutually assured destruction (either via matched might, matched economic power, or nuclear strike).  Look at all those countries USSR and USA meddled in from the 50s through the late 80s.  Most have developed nuclear capabilities.  A second cold war wont be 2 sides, it will be multi point, and unless we are going to start proxy wars is some backwoods, stone throwing nation, we dont have much options without fear of severe blowback.A second cold war could mean one of two things,  more peace than we have seen in our lifetime, or global nuclear apocalypse.</blockquote>
