There seems to be so many false alarms concerning firearm ownership encroachment that I'm posting this link to get members feedback. However, they said insisting that decisions on the treaty be made by consensus "could fatally weaken a final deal."

There's the key. We're basically saying we won't talk unless we can kill the whole deal. They don't want that, but it's pointless to hold the talks without us there, as we're the largest arms exporter.
