My refrigerator is running strong! My wife took our 3 daughters to their grandparents in Missouri yesterday to stay with em for the upcoming week and attend VBS at the grandparents church. Other than one of the older two daughters occasionally staying the night at a friends we've had em with us all their lives. They are 14, 10 and 4 years old. Lastnight was the first time the wife and I have been home alone in 14yrs. It's weird and much too quiet. I was sitting here eating some bacon and eggs a while ago and noticed the refrigerator humming. I don't know that I've ever noticed that before. The ceiling fan makes a wooshing sound and evidently the ringing I hear in my ears when trying to go to sleep at night rings in the daytime too. My 4yo Clara aka The Warden had Nana call me at 8am this morning to make sure I was up and dressed for the day. Yeah, I liked that. It made me laugh and miss her personally doing it everyday. On days I try to sleep in it's only til 8 cuz that's what time Warden Clara makes her rounds. It was kinda weird not walking in the living room to the girls watching Dvr recordings of Green Acres. Anyhow, just a little Dad missing his kids and realizing the refrigerator makes noise story. I'm sure many of y'all have similar stories and to those of you who don't yet.......that song that says something like "you're gonna miss this"........yep, you will.
