First let me start with this.

a. I know that manufacturers, who choose to sell their products directly via their own website, infringe on their retailers, and so because of that they usually sell things at or above MSRP to make sure the retailers can offer the best deals.

b. I also know that if they can manage to sell things at MSRP that they make a TON of money since they get to capture distributor margins, and retail margins.

But come on Mossberg. 30 round AR-15 aluminum mags, without any upgraded 3rd party followers, selling for $29.99????

I wanted to order a 20" barrel for my 500 for turkey hunting. I called and asked about them and asked why they were so expensive. I was told that they are manufactured there and then sent out for packaging. The packaging process was what was driving up the price. The guy told me that he could take a new barrel off the shelf, throw it in a box, and ship it to me for $70 or so, if I remeber correctly. This was alot cheaper than they had advertised on the website. You may call back and see if you get the same response......

If not, wait a day and call back and talk to someone else.
