I enjoyed the match and thanks Kurt for the gear tips. Simple is better for those that missed it. I got beat by a girl.....again. That prone stage in the snow is hard on an old guy.

That was the most fun I've ever have in the snow. Thanks everyone for holding/setting up the match. A little off topic - where do you guys get your low recoil/power slugs? I bought the full power slug at wal-mart and just 6 shots yesterday my shoulder was really sore.

This is what some guys were using. $.78 each.

That's not that expensive now that I think about it.

1 slug on paper = 2 rifle/pistol hits on paper.

Good brass ammo is $.35-$.40/rd, so it's pretty reasonable.

Can we use more slugs next time?

I got some Royal Star low recoil slugs from OAS for $3.41.

Mitch uses the Winchester rangers.

Watch out for those royal ones. They leaded my barrel horribly and were not accurate at all past 50 yards.
