Just like it says, John Quinones is what my conscience looks like now thanks to that what would you do show. Last night while leaving the Harry Potter premier about 3AM my wife and I came up on a terrible car crash. We were about the 8th vehicle to pull up and really couldn't see what was going on. I didn't want to be hit from behind so I pulled onto the shoulder and then the passenger in the back seat of my truck said "oh God there is someone on the ground." Well I looked at my wife in the passenger seat and said we have to do something, why is no one up there helping them? My wife, being a nurse, said if she goes up there she may be liable for anything that goes wrong and that she didn't know if she could. I told her we didn't have an option and we had to go. As I approached I stopped at the first cars window to tell her to call 911 and she said she has but that she couldn't go up there. Luckily the young man was breathing and attempting to move by the time EMS took him away. And one my wife and I were there many others finally started to come out of there vehicles to come to his aid. They were mostly younger kids leaving the same movie we were at so they were untrained and not extremely helpful but they did take direction well and were able to figure out the guys phone for us. As all of this went down all I could see was an image of John Quinones coming out of the ditch asking why we did or didn't help. Really helped to do what I thought was the right thing. The boys mother called my wife this afternoon to Thank her for all she did and let us know that her son was still in critical condition and that he had undergone 1 surgery and still had one left to go but it looked like he would be okay. And on another note, it may be a good Idea to all of those that have any kind of first aid training to take a refresher course. Looking back there are many things I did wrong or wasn't prepared for that I feel very lucky that the situation wasn't worse.
