I agree, but as a lifetime supporter of the site, I wouldn't say anyone is "demanding" the site owner change anything, but nothing will change if feedback isn't given. There is a reason why there are so many arguments about everything in the world, its because everything can be looked at from opposite sides. As I mentioned above I don't think anyone is demanding something change, and the argument can be made nothing should change because everyone can do what they want and if you don't want to deal with scammers and unreliable people don't use the classifieds section. The site has been this way for years so why change it now because some people had issues? On the other hand you can look at it from the viewpoint as changing the site would allow it to continue as it has been for the last few years without a heavy presence of scammers, and if those new members don't like the increased restrictions they don't have to use the classifieds. No decision is ever going to make everyone happy, and in my original post I wasn't asking for changes because I for one have the mentality everyone needs to take care of themselves, we don't need so much oversight in the world. I was simply relaying my experience and my solution for it, which is not dealing with people who don't have ratings or posts, which I think is the solution and can be managed on every users own individual basis without putting some overarching rule in place you have to have x number of posts to use it. Everyone can just look at the user reaching out to them and if they see no feedback and 4 posts, they can decide if they want to move forward, I for one will not anymore.
