Just once, is it possible for something to work?

I taped off the background of my artwork piece so I could paint the middle part flat black. It was going to be the interior of the barn. I had a small opening about a 16th of an inch between the tape at the very top of the paint job and to my horror, found a small jet of flat black had escaped and painted the background about an inch. THe background was a beautiful mix of variegated colors orange, tan, terra cotta and red. There was no way to spot paint and match the variation exactly especially at the very top of the painting.</p><p></p><p>I tried Goof Off and blotting it gently which only made it worse. After some old technician words I thought I had cleaned out of my memory banks, I decided to repaint the background. Waiting on the flat black to dry, I gathered my spray paint cans and waited. When it was dry, I taped off the flat black area and again covered the background with a textured terra cotta spray paint. I lightly used a tan to soften the color by skipping some areas and holding it about 18 inches from the board.</p><p></p><p>I then moved on to my red and it came out faster so I stepped back about 24 inches. Every single time I tried to spray anything the freakin wind came up and blew the paint away so I had to get closer to the work which created hot spots of color. <img src="/images/smilies/new/scream3.gif" class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":scream:" title="Scream3 :scream:" data-shortname=":scream:" /> </p><p></p><p>After covering these areas, I moved on to the orange and lightly sprayed it on, creating another beautiful background.
