That video looks like it was taken in the mid-1930s. I recognize the fellow on the right in the beginning of the video; I think it might have been Hans Baur, Hitler's personal pilot in the 1930s.

 

I have two Romanian contract VZ-24's i got recently. They predate WW2 though.

 

Nice. VZ-24s are my second favorite Mauser, after the evil K98K. Pretty good barrels, wood, bluing? I know some that were coming in a few years ago were in really nice shape.

My only K98 is a FR-8 Spanish Mauser in 7.62x51. No, it is not Nazi, but it does have fascist/nationalist roots, so it's still cool, right?

I might bring my 1937 CE K98 Friday, if you promise not to drool on it.

 

I still need to find a nice wartime K98, with all markings intact. One of these days.

 

I think they're all in Argentina.
