I just got started making some knives and am really enjoying it. For any knife makers on here I’d love to see some pics, hear whatever secrets and tricks you’re willing to share.
I’m making mine out of 1095 right now, just doing stock removal. I’ve got a small forge but only using that for heat treating right now, tempering in a toaster oven. I’ve got stuff to make kydex sheaths and have been screwing around with that too. So far I’ve gotten two done with another one working, pics attached.

Here's a beauty I got from Jared (cowcatcher). He also custom made the leather scabbard.

    I'm liking these knives!

Here's a beauty that was made for me by my step-father for Christmas of 2018. I use it in my office at work to cut boxes occasionally. It's really nice, and I don't want to beat it up, but I also want to use it! He'd be displeased if I didn't.

    Thank you.

    Thank you too.

When he gave it to me on that Christmas day, my jaw, honest to goodness, dropped. I couldn't believe that he'd made it! I'll be sure to pass along your compliments.

I'm not trying to down this forum but you need to go to KnifeDogs. They have a lot of info and read the stickies for information.
Check out the Knife Group of Oklahoma. Our knifemakers Association. We had to cancel our Spring shop tour but hope for one this fall. We always have how to demoes at these.

Alright, I’ll check that out. I saw a link to it (KnifeDogs) on one of the supply websites the other day. I didn’t know Oklahoma had a Knifemakers association either, thank you.
