[QUOTE="SoonerP226, post: 3193457, member: 26737"] Kyler's big drawback is his stature; he's going to have a lot of trouble in the pocket just because the linemen are so freaking huge these days. Brees is taller than Kyler by a couple of inches, and, as great a career as he's had, even he has a decent amount of trouble with his passes getting batted at the line. What Kyler has going for him is an amazing God-given talent. That kid is the closest thing I've seen to the second coming of Joe Washington when it comes to elusiveness; he's the very definition of trying to tackle smoke in a phone booth. He'll turn on a dime and give you nine cents change, hit the jets, then give you that popup slide when the DBs get close. He's a lot like Baker in that he's very good at keeping his focus downfield and getting the ball there while on the run. His biggest problem actually won't be anything physical, IMHO--it will be getting paired with an offensive coordinator who can figure out how to use his talents. Some coaches just can't get their heads around adapting their systems to match the talent they have, and try to shoehorn the talent into their system. If he gets saddled with an OC stuck on a pocket passer mentality, it's not going to be a success for either of them, but if he can get together with someone like Riley (maybe Kliff Kingsbury at the Cardinals) who can make use of his talents, it's Katie bar the door.
