we have three golden retrievers and the hair is ridiculous. We've tried a few multiple high quality vacuums and even had the house built with a central vac, but the only one that has made the slightest difference is the Dyson DC25 Animal. We have the older version of that one that doesn't have the ball, but it's a world of difference. Had it for for a few years now and Dyson has been pretty good about repairs too. The other ones broke fairly quickly and would require to go over the same spot multiple times to get the hair out, the Dyson smokes it. Get the hair out of the corners, out of carpet fringe, off the side of couches (important because dogs love rubbing against them), pretty much everything. Works great in the car too. Before we had it, we had pretty much given up on wearing dark colors. Get it, you won't regret it. More importantly, I never thought i'd be writing such a positive review of a vacuum on a shooting forum....
