Yes - if you have the right tools and knowledge.

In reality, the toxicity level of the acts of extracting the lead from the battery, then melting it makes this a very hazardous endeavor. The EPA would be none too pleased either I would imagine.

It's an excellent way to exchange healthy lungs for a couple of bullets though, I suppose.
