I am not going to argue with anyone on how OK law written or interpreted, as I have only been in this state for 8yrs...other southern states in which I have lived meant "softpoint jacketed" and "hollowpoint jacketed", where you might get off the hook with a HP plain lead bullet, but the regs were to force the use of expanding bullets as far as the ignorant understand them....

nevermind that I can drive a fairly soft cast SWC to 1200-1400fps and get good expansion, since as far as they are concerned, a plain lead bullet is non-expanding...

and that is generally going to be true of any RN bullet which has no ability to even cut a full caliber hole, and will poke ineffective holes unless very precise placement on very very few spots.

On a positive note, if shooting largest critters, the RN will penetrate from here to next week, and if of sufficient diameter and velocity will expand some on heavy bone or reach an elephant brain through 3ft of spongy bone....but, very few cape buffalo and elephant around here as far as I know.
