You might also look at the Ishapore. It is made in the Indian arsenal at Ishapore, and is available in 7.62 NATO. Their quality is usually pretty good and they are made of better steel. It looks like an Enfield except for the magazine, the floor of which is almost parallel with the barrel instead of an angle.

As far as where to get one, gunbroker or a gun show would likely be your best bet.

What would be a recommended place to get .303 ammo? It seems to me that it isn't exactly the cheapest ammo to shoot.

The cheapest place for .303 British locally is probably Kings Pawn over by Reno and Sunnylane or Brigadoons on Sunnylane across from Del City High School. If you shop online, SGAmmo or Graf and Sons usually has it in stock. Prices are usually from $14 to $16 a box for Prvi Partizan
