Swampratt posted a good video. The square rod needed lots of lube on mine. The plastic T that rides the press frame rail constantly needed a lil turn one way or the other during a loading session too. It seemed to cycle best when you were putting a lil extra speed on it at the top of the handle up stroke. If I was gentle with it, it wouldn't advance. It's a very very simple mechanical process and not very reliable. It's like anything I guess. You really gotta pay attention to the sounds and feels of her so you don't have an issue.
