Anyone have information on that?

Reason I ask is because some guy from Oklahoma is on Facebook bragging about killing a dog that wandered near his house: https://www.facebook.com/caisen.green

He posted a picture of a dead dog on Facebook with the caption "For all you pit lovers out there: Here's what happens when one shows up around my house."

I won't embed the image here, but here's the link to it: http://i.imgur.com/0ifEG1e.jpg

It got me wondering about his action in the legal sense. I'm assuming the dog wasn't threatening anything since he didn't mention it was, and was gloating about his kill.

Thanks for imparting any knowledge.

I've had the fuzz called on me for shooting neighborhood dogs. Not proud of it, but my property is mine, and that is the law. Dude bragging about it is a douche move, but certainly isn't grounds for a 48 hour mental holdover...

Basically this:

If dog is attacking/killing live stock or attacking people, you can take action to protect your self and property/other people.

Killing a dog and bragging about it on facebook? needs to be reported to his local law enforcement agency. Its a sign of a unstable person.

I got in trouble once for popping one with a bb gun, to scoot him away from my nephews... Sheriff deputy said it was cruelty. So the next time I pulled out the .22mag. He dropped. I hate dog owners that let their pets roam (it happens a lot in my neighborhood) and I'll be damned if some strange dog is going to bark and growl at my guests. I don't blame the animals, I blame the owners, but the animals always seem to get the punishment. Deputies always see my side, legal every time. It's not something I'm proud of, and I'm sure someone will flame it, but I hope that sheds light on legalities.

Your Right.....that is a pretty stupid response.... next time ....SHHHHHH!

I would never think of harming an animal unless it was for the purpose of food or being threatened. There have been times I've thought my neighbors attack dogs were gonna come through my fence in the backyard while out there.
