I had issues with neighbor's dogs digging up the yard looking for gophers and waking me up in the middle of the night barkin at another neighbor's horse from my yard. I spoke with two different agencies and both said there wasn't anything they could do in the county for me since they weren't strays. Both told me I was within my rights to shoot them if I wanted though. I didn't want to be that guy. Now, 6 months later, one problem neighbor has his fenced in, one moved away, and the other still lets his dogs roam wherever. They've worn a path down to dirt in the yard from coming over so often to defecate in the yard and chase gophers in the neighboring pasture. They leave when I tell them to go home but they wait for me to leave and come back. I can sit at the stop sign at the end of the road and watch them come back across the street. I still don't think its right to shoot them for having a jackass owner.
