[QUOTE="vvvvvvv, post: 2214872, member: 5151"] Oddly, the criteria for Schedule I completely contradicts several government patents on marijuana. According to those who keep marijuana illegal, marijuana is evil and makes you do evil things (see: Reefer Madness), while meth is good for kids (see: Desoxyn). While marijuana has been shown to treat (and in some cases, cure) cancer better than many currently available legal treatments, tobacco has been shown to cause cancer. Yet, it is perfectly okay for me to till up some land, plant some tobacco seeds, nurture the plants, harvest the plants, and cure the plants, and make my own cigars, cigarettes, and pipe tobacco, while on the other hand I'd face 10 years in prison if I were to do the same with marijuana. (Remember, if you and/or your dwelling contains a food scale, ziplock baggies, and cash, you meet the criteria for "possession w/ intent to distribute". And in some DA's jurisdictions, all you need is the cash to get charged with it and you'll find a bunch of lawyers who don't want to go to court who'll tell you to plea out without negotiation, thus forever forfeiting that cash and any other assets the local law enforcement decided to seize as "likely bought with drug money".)
