Cushing Police Department has released more information regarding last night's shooting at Simpson's Gym - including the name of the suspect.</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>KUSH received word last night that a shooting had taken place at Simpson's Gym, 1523 E. Main. (Click to read previous story:<a href="http://www.1600kush.com/story" target="_blank">www.1600kush.com/story</a>)</p><p></p><p>Here is the information received from Cushing PD on last night's shooting:</p><p></p><p></p><p>Yesterday evening at about 7:02 p.m. Cushing Police Officers responded to Simpsons Chiropractic, 1523 E. Main, in reference to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, contact was made with suspect Rabih Ozeir, W/M, 18 in the parking lot. During the course of the contact, Ozeir allegedly produced a handgun and threatened the officers.</p><p></p><p>Officers ordered Ozeir to drop the weapon, at which point, Ozeir failed to comply with the orders given and continued to threaten the officers with the handgun. Officers then fired multiple rounds striking Ozeir.</p><p></p><p>Ozeir was later transported to the Hillcrest Hospital of Cushing, where he was initially treated and later transported to Saint John's Trauma Center in Tulsa for further treatment of his injuries.</p><p></p><p>Both officers have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, being conducted by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
