Message: <blockquote data-quote="Fatboy Joe" data-source="post: 2050121" data-attributes="member: 13212"><p>This is incorrect.  The S-corp election allows the income to only be taxed once instead of twice like in a C-corp environment.  The s-corp shareholder gets taxed on their share of the companies earnings no matter how much of a distribution they take.   Most of the time the distribution is less the actual earnings they are picking up.  The dividend payment to them is also not a deduction for the s-corp.</p></blockquote><p></p>
