Get stuck pretty easy, but once one learns the sand, you can use it as a challenge. </p><p></p><p>Just go out for a couple of hours and ride the perimeter, then explore the big dunes after the kid gets some experience going up and down the smaller ones, trying a good one, then a great one, then buttercup......</p><p></p><p>Helmets and goggles are not required, although after 10 minutes on a windy day, you will go to the dune equipment shop and buy some no matter how much it costs. </p><p>Save some money and buy online before going. </p><p>You must have a flag and pole on the ATV. They sell them in town and at the dunes. Same price. Same person makes them. </p><p>During the week, you pretty much have the place to yourself. Maybe a dozen others. On weekends, it's busy and on holiday weekends it's insane. Maybe 2000-3000 folks in attendance from all over the country. $100,00.00 + buggy's that can jump from dune to dune all over and putting on shows. </p><p>I've heard that Little Sahara supports most of the other state parks in Ok because of the volume of paying visitors. </p><p></p><p>If your interested, let me know when your going. I'll bring my rides and give a tour if nothing else is going on. I'm 1 hour and 45 minutes away from the gate. Have a vintage 3 wheeler, and a 4 wheeler.</p></blockquote><p></p>
