Well I got my barrel 2 weeks ago and my stock just showed up today! Now all I have to get is my base and scope rings and get this sited in. That's a Nikon Monarch 6.5-20x44AO scope going on top of that .280Rem barrel! I can't wait to shoot this.

I want one of those now, thanks a lot. I don't think I'd do 6.5-284. Maybe a plane jane .30-06 since I have the BAR and can have ammo commonality.

Yeah thanks, now I want one of them pack rifles! Did you have to special order that length or is it a common length? And what are shooting with that 416? Elephants, tanks, air planes? Lol!

Yes, I ordered the 16" from Bullberry Barrels, IIRC the shortest that T/C offers in rifle length is 18". I recently bought a .30-06 barrel that I'm going to have cut down to 16".

As far as the .416 Rigby......it's kind of a funny story....My 8 year old was looking in my safe one day and asked what the most powerful gun I had was...I looked around, and it was probably the .30-06 or the .500 S&W (depending on how you define power). So I figured I'd take care of that problem and buy a barrel that I could use for any game animal on the planet, so the next time I was asked that I would have a good answer!

Where'd you get the folding stock? That would make an awesome survival gun. Not much to go wrong with that sucker.

It's just a Choate stock that's made for the Encore
