I got some fake Pieces about 3 years ago. I've always taken the stuff I bought locally to a gold and silver shop that I traded at for a Long time and had them do an acid test. 3 were steel, silver clad. 3 were copper/nickle, silver clad.
That sucks. Got a buddy in the biz, so I let him take it in and I pick it up. A friend bought 100 1 oz stagecoach bars a while back, all fake. For those inclined. Rob on a terror last night. Fireworks in the metals market feels to be coming.
I paid spot, had them checked at my local gold/silver shop, took them back where I got them And got my money back no problem. They are'nt gonna play with forgery. Cheaper to give your money back and pitch them than to get a visit.
