[QUOTE="murphy j, post: 1967943, member: 6452"] While the Submariner is a thing of beauty(I have the non-LV version), it's well outside the OP's budget and does nothing to further this topic. While I don't know the source of your displeasure with OKCShooter, the Rolex watch is a superior product to many people and a benchmark that many strive for. I happen to like many of Rolex's products, but do believe that they are/have reached a point where many people are not willing to pay the price point for even a used one. I also know many people are turned off by the Rolex 'image'. Rolex's advertising is a big part of where they are today along with their sponsorship of sporting events. They also put the idea of the 'tool watch' on the map. There's a reason so many military men have chosen a Rolex Submariner or GMT as their go to watch in the past. Although that era has past, it's still a vital part of the DNA that makes up the Rolex legend. Rolex will continue to be a standard by which many will measure themselves against for many years to come. Now... having said that, I believe that a Seiko dive watch is the best affordable to just about anyone mechanical watches out there. I've owned Seiko, along with many others before, and in my experience they also make a Superior product. Seiko has their Grand Seiko line and they are every bit on par with Patek Phillipe, Hublot, Vecheron Constantin and many others in that stratosphere, to include Rolex. I used to own one and it was easily the most comfortable wearing watch I've ever owned. Tough too. Get one, you won't regret it. Now to the OP. Here's a link to a site that has just about anything you could want watch wise. It's basically a consolidated list of links to other watch sites sales fora. See one you like? click on it and it'll take you the the original posting. Good Luck finding what you want. I highly recommend Seiko if you're after a mechanical diver.
