I have a couple of Marlins. A 336 in 30-30 and I have a Marlin 1895 in .45-70. I don't use the 30-30 much anymore. It is my deer rifle that was gifted to me by my father early for use in deer season of 93. So I am hanging on to it for sentimental reasons. Now if it was a Win 94 and I could get $1200 for it, I would find something to replace it. LOL

'73 Winchester.

Lever actions aren't supposed to have a scope. I don't care if technically you can put one on top, you shouldn't.

I agree. They should have a peep sight added at the most.

I love 94s, mostly because of the straight stock. I know Marlin makes a straight grip as well but I have only had experience with the curved ones.

As I said, I like the Marlins.
But I've been thinking seriously about picking up a Browning BLR.
I just have too many wants, and not enough money...

Voted for Marlin. I'm wanting a 1894C (.357) to compliment my desire for a .357 wheelgun. Haven't decided on what revolver model to get yet though.

I say a Wichester Moseld 94 or maybe 73. They kind of set the standard, plus I have an old 94 so I am biased. Marlins are great guns too, but I think of the 94 when I hear lever gun.

I would like to have a Marlin Guide gun in .450 Mariln one day, but have no justification for one. Just think they are cool.

A Pre-64 Winchester Model 88 is on my short list of guns to buy, they were way ahead of their time. Any Model 88 fans?
