For the past few years I have been using a handgun (.41 Mag) for deer. My 77 year old eyes have gotten so bad I think I should go back to rifle. I have a Browning .308 Semi (they call it a BAR, but it's not. I spent 3 days at Pendleton during Staging Battalion preparing to playing hide & seek with Uncle Ho's kids getting familiar with actual BAR's). I would like a quality scope for it.

Looking for recommendations on what to get and where to have it mounted (Tulsa area).

Thanks

what’s your budget? How far are you shooting? A good place to start if you need the whole schbang is sports world between Sheridan and Memorial on 41st. My instinct is to recommend a leupold (I prefer a 3-9x on my deer rifles) but they carry bushnell up to Nightforce, Steiner, Swarovski, etc.

While budget is not unlimited, I can afford most anything. As far as distance, it's been so long that I have used rifle, I really don't know but I likely wouldn't exceed 150 to 200 yards.
I have been to Sports World several times, usually have positive experiences.

I think sports world will be your best bet for knowledge/inventory vs ability to correctly mount and boresight an optic. There may be someplace else better. You definitely came to the right place to ask for advice. I’m sure we will get you fixed up!
