At one time I&#039;d run campaigns (thru my gun shop) where I&#039;d get people to sign up for yearly and discounted rate life memberships.&nbsp; I paid for a new member&#039;s first annual dues or $25 towards a new member&#039;s life dues.&nbsp; I signed up literally hundreds, maybe a thousand or more, thru my shop.Not any longer.&nbsp; I don&#039;t even recommend anyone join the NRA simply because of LaPierre&#039;s improprieties.&nbsp; I still vote but that&#039;s about it.&nbsp; I defended the NRA even when the organization probably didn&#039;t deserve to be defended.&nbsp; Not any more.&nbsp; It seems to me they&#039;ve really lost their way and LaPierre is a major cause of that and serves as a huge distraction to the good work they should be doing and a liability to the organization.I just wish the membership could get the board to understand that.I, too, like Lt Col West.&nbsp; I, too, get the sense he&#039;s desperate for some sort of &quot;job&quot; in the public realm.&nbsp; Not that that&#039;s a bad thing, it&#039;s just not a real good look to run for every open spot he comes across.&nbsp; On the other hand, he&#039;d be a great person to replace LaPierre and I&#039;d support that 100%.</blockquote>
