I wonder how much of an affect the "pandemic shutdown" of businesses had on prices of lumber? We are doing or Summer work gig here in Alabama, and the logging trucks are EVERYWHERE. So far, we've not been on any somewhat major road without seeing semi-trucks with logs heading to the sawmills and paper mills here. We worked a road the other day that runs by a Georgia Pacific paper mill. That got my interest up, so I did some looking and found that there are 20-some paper mills just here in Alabama. We are also seeing a goodly number of semi-trucks with finished dimension lumber and plywood. Less noticeable, but still here are semi-trucks hauling out round posts.
