I appreciate it, but the price for the NPM is significantly higher than what I would pay for an NPM, and I don’t want to insult him with an offer that I consider "fair".

I was lucky enough to pay around $1200 each for two Underwoods in nice condition recently. I had to replace the springs, but that's to be expected.
