Keeping this going: a pair of M1 Garand sniper rifles. In the foreground is a M1D in 1960s National Guard guise with a 1" mount and Weaver K4-60B, and in the back, a M1C in Korean War Marine Corps configuration with a repro MC-1 scope mount and a commercial Kollmorgen 4X Bearcub.

If you mean the M1 sniper rifles, hopefully you're a member of the CMP and can get examples of those from them. Otherwise be prepared to pay a lot more for one from a vendor. I saw a nice-but-not-great M1D rig at a VA gun show last month that was priced at $4200  If you're patient, you can get a nice M1D with a M84 scope, 7/8" mount, and post-war pad and FH for under $3K.

Springfield M1A Loaded Full Size

I don't really like the sling, I want to get a black M1907 style sling. Any suggestions?

Turner makes nice leather and all-weather synthetic black national match slings:

All weather: http://prostores3.megawebservers.co...rse-5/National-Match-Service-Rifle/Detail.bok

Leather: http://prostores3.megawebservers.co.../Carlos-Hathcock-Signature-Edition/Detail.bok

There are also a few cheap M1907 black slings on eBay, but the quality won't be nearly as nice as the Turners and I'm not sure if they are even real leather. I purchased a $20 eBay M1907 sling and the "leather"material never broke in. It stayed hard as a rock until I finally traded it off at a gun show and bought a real leather sling from Jim Thompson over on the CMP forums.
